University of Glamorgan

Bcie.co.uk (2013)

At University of Glamorgan many impressive things happened to me. I learn a lot of new things that I didn’t know a bout before. I came to Glamorgan University hopping to progress at my electronic studies and to improve my English language. Therefore, I can see a massive progression during the last 6 months specifically in my English language. In other words, studying in University of Glamorgan will improve a lot of skills that the students will use it in their future career. Also, student who are in the university should my browed about them self to be students in this university. I recommend Glamorgan University to all students who would like to complete their university studying in UK

My Presentation

Hassan at his presentation (2013)

My last presentation went well at the UK study skills class. At the beginning I was very nervous but after controlling my breath I controlled my self. I was talking about my subject which was electronic and communication engineering. I tried to choose a words that every body can understand, as well, I added some pictures to support my presentation. Roger (2013) addressed that adding pictures in presentation are important because most people respond better from pictures rather than word. In addition, I tried to support my presentation with some references to prove my researches.

The teacher noted some mistakes which will be listed blow. She noted this mistakes to let me see what was my weak points, as well, to improve myself in my next presentation.

Some of the noted mistakes :
  1. Spelling mistakes
  2. More references
  3. Grammar mistakes
  4. References mistakes

Qatar University

Journeymart.com (2013)

Universities in my country do not have my subject that is electronic and communication engineering. My sponsor ship sent me here to study this subject and to come back as an engineer. Furthermore, in my country there are a lot of electrical subjects but not the one that I am keen on.

A Qatar university is considered an old universities comparing to the others. Therefore, not all the subjects are possible over there. In addition the last few years Qatar universities are progressing very well and students can notes that. Qatar now is trying to focus at the academic life in the university. Finally, Qatar universities are adding more subjects every year and I hope to find my subject over there. If electronic and communication engineering was there a lot of students will ably to it.

Academic Culture

Gather.com (2011)

Studying outsaid far a way from my family and country had affected me at the beginning of my university studies. But now every thing had changed with the help of my friends and teachers.

According to Emodule.nus (2013) “A university is an academic community, whose purpose and task is to advance collective knowledge.” Studying at university is totally different from studying at high school. The culture of studying in universities is very difficult and hard at the beginning. All students have to bout their own daily tables. To be clear, they have to relay on them self to be successful in their academic life.  University of St Andrews (2013) addressed that in the university lecturers will improve the students skills to be able to handle their studies in university.

Culture UK

At the beginning I thought that I would face some difficulties to understand and accept the British people culture. But after a while all what I thought about was wrong.

British people have an easy going life with many interesting cultures and traditions. Kwintessential addressed that (2013) “The United Kingdom is comprised of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.” Every country has its own culture and traditions, but usually people who came from out said think that they are smaller and actually it is not.

Wales traditional food

England traditional clothing

Northern Ireland traditional dance

In conclusion, I am really happy to be here in the United Kingdom. People in my country would love to visit the UK to see their tradition and culture which is totally different from ours. as well i recommend for all student who would like to complete their university studies to come over here and get the chance to learn in the UK .
